My top 5 favourite wedding venues in the Cotswolds

I love living in the Cotswolds, we’re lucky to be surrounded by stunning landscapes and I’m  pretty lucky to live in such a gorgeous part of the world. Covering 5 counties, the Cotswolds is a picturesque area of outstanding natural beauty. From Manor houses, castles, to barns. It has it all! With such stunning scenery it gives you lots of opportunities to have ceremonies outside. Whilst also providing the perfect backdrop for an English Summer Garden Party vibe.  With so many beautiful venues to choose from, you’re spoilt for choice.  If you’re looking at getting married in the Cotswolds, here are my favourite wedding venues in the Cotswold that I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

  1. Hyde House

I love this venue, the team, the food and the stunning spaces just tick all the boxes. Both the ceremony and wedding meal barns are flooding with natural light. The Manor house sets the perfect backdrop for pictures and hosting guests overnight.

It’s a really versatile space and allows you to add your own design and really make it your own. It’s in a really great location in between Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the water.

2. Whalley Farm

A gorgeous exclusive use property, to host an intimate wedding of 50 guests. The views from this property overlooking the Cotswolds hills is nothing short of breathtaking. It is the ideal backdrop for an outdoor ceremony, looking across the valley.

The accommodation is chic and ideal for some guests to stay on site, and ideal for a wedding weekend. You have the opportunity to host a pre dinner meal, a bbq or pool day on the day after. Really getting to enjoy a 3 day event.

The barn itself is wrapped around in glass to overlook the stunning view, so wherever you are you get to take it all in.

3. Sudeley Castle

Well I mean this venue speaks for itself. It’s rich in history, has incredible gardens, which is the perfect space to host a drinks reception, over looking the Cotswold Hills. A truly romantic setting for a wedding with so many photo opportunities, and Orangery that hosts the perfect space for your wedding meal. And heading over to the for the party steeped in history is their anything better.I’ve had the pleasure of working there twice and love going back.

4. Tortworth Court

The iconic Orangery, is an incredible space, which floods with natural light. It can be used for Ceremony, wedding meal and evening dancefloor so you can get maximum use of the space. Whilst this venue is also a hotel the Orangery is it’s own space, so you don’t get overlooked by other guests.

There are so many photo opportunities, and it is such a great space to transform.

5. Stratton Barn

A family run barn which has such a lovely atmosphere as soon as you arrive. A really flexible venue, that has all the features and charm of a barn venue. But also feels cosy and not overwhelming of a space to navigate.

You are spoilt for choice on ceremony options, and I loved the woodland space you can host ceremonies. It really has such a special feeling and there’s an abundance of outdoor seating and flexibility which is refreshing to not have to work with a list of restrictions. They’ve also renovated another space which can host more guests for a seated meal.
