Intimate, Romantic, Chic wedding: Anthology Farm, Cotswolds
Where to begin with Laura and Dan’s intimate, romantic, chic wedding at Anthology farm. It was such an intentional wedding with the most incredible details, a heartfelt ceremony that didn’t leave a dry tear in the place, set among most gorgeous location at Anthology farm in the cotswolds. If you’re looking for wedding inspiration for your intimate wedding Laura and Dan’s chic wedding definitely has it all. Make sure you keep scrolling.
Arrival
The guest arrived to Anthology farm for Laura and Dan’s wedding, with the stunning panoramic views of the Cotswolds. I may be biased but you can’t beat a Cotswold wedding Upon arrival they were greeted with a chic arrival drinks reception, with a table of non alcoholic fizz coupes topped with edible flowers. Placed upon handmade linens Laura hand embroidered, and finished with a strip parasol that helped set the vibe from the moment guests arrived. It is worth noting Laura the bride is a prop stylist and has a fab eye for detail. Laura also made all the stationery and paired with the wild modern flowers meadows by the florist Wren and May, complimented the views of of the venue.
Wedding ceremony
The romantic ceremony was located overlooking the stunning views over the rolling at Anthology farm , we set up meadow flowers nestled and wrapped around the couple for the ceremony. Whilst also adorning the aisles to lean into the stunning English countryside. The intention was the make the ceremony as intimate as possible with 50 guests, which is why we opted for a semi circle with the chair layout.
The ceremony was held by the fabulous Nat Raybould who told the couples story so beautifully and it truly why I believe a celebrant ceremony is the way forward. It’s so much more personal and the ceremony becomes just as magical as the rest of the day. The couple told their personal vows in front of family and friends whilst I snuck a new Orleans brass band into the gardens whilst the ceremony took place so they could surprise the guests by playing Marvin Gaye sexual healing at the end of the ceremony. It was such a fantastic moment, and I’d highly recommend you consider adding an element of surprise.
Wedding meal
Whilst the guests were busy enjoying the epic brass band we were putting the final touches to the wedding meal and moving the chairs across from the ceremony.
We had 3 long tables with white linens and knotted napkins ( which Laura made, there is no end to her talents) Which created the perfect intimate vibe, we also had hand drawn thank you cards, place names and menus. There were pastel candle stick and bud vases which added the soft pop of colour and brought the room to life. We also moved the meadows from the ceremony to the end of the tables and to the DJ booth, which also had a chic striped tablecloth.
The food was exquisite by dot dining, who created a menu that was relaxed but of the highest quality. I would highly recommend them, and the speeches were fantastic, funny yet meaningful.
The details were next to none and why I always encourage my couples to make their wedding day personalised because this is the result and intentional wedding which had Laura and Dan written all over it from start to finish.
Whilst we were busy turning the room around to make room for the dancefloor. Guests enjoyed the cutting of the cake on the lawn and enjoyed drinks. Before dancing the night away and the end of a fantastic wedding at Anthology farm, and why intimate weddings always have a special place.
Thank you Laura and Dan for choosing me, it is a wedding I will never forget and here’s what they had to say. And if you’re planning your wedding in the Cotswolds, why not book in a chat to see how I can support you.
Big love
